Junee Rhythm n Rail Festival. Join us for our bush dance and barbecue dinner on Friday evening. Stroll through our markets and listen to music on Saturday. Watch our street parade Saturday morning (or march in it). Take a ride on a miniature train in Railway Square or do some train spotting at Pete’s Hobby Railway. 9.30am: The Riverina’s newest poultry club,  Junee Poultry Club, welcomes you to join the Helmsman poultry sale at the Smith Pavilion, Junee Showgrounds, Park Lane, Junee, from 9.30am to 11am. All birds must be booked in before Friday, March 9 otherwise pens may not be available. No more than three birds per pen, $5 a pen. Birds to be penned by 9.15am. Buyer’s registration $2 – payable on day. Buyers must bring their own carry cage or box to transport birds. Food and drinks available for purchase throughout the morning. 10am: PlayHub at the library until noon. Come along for card making, LEGO building, quiz games, and more.  


10.30am: Changes and Challenges of New Parents at the Community Centre, 106 Lorne Street, until noon, every Monday until April 9. 

Noon: Bingo and Hoy at the Junee Senior Citizens Club, Lisgar Street. Cost is $10, bring along a plate of something to share. Contact Barbara on 6924 1980.  


6.45am: Junee Senior Citizens bus trip to Canberra. Leaves from Ligarst Seniors Hall, cost $65 includes coach travel, morning tea, cruise on Lake Burley Griffin and lunch at Byrnes Club. Contact Barbara on 6924 1980 or Shirley on 6924 23 97. 


7am: Junee Fishing Classic at Park Dam. $1500 in prizes and all registration proceeds to constructing a barbecue shelter and re-stocking the lake. Register on the day or at Crossing Motel Junee 6924 3255.
