Ron Hindmarsh, one of the Poker Run’s organisers, said this year involved an epic journey through five towns.
“We went from Junee to Tarcutta RSL Club, then we went from Tarcutta to Adelong, we had lunch there, and then we went from Adelong to Tumut Golf Club, and then to the Star Hotel in Gundagai before we headed home,” Mr Hindmarsh said.
“For the bikes, we got well over the 300 mark, and I think our crowd at the party afterwards was up a couple of hundred on the night from last year, too.”
The after-party was just as successful as the ride itself, with plenty of live music keeping the crowds entertained until one in the morning.
Mr Hindmarsh also hinted that next year’s Poker Run is shaping up to be even bigger and better.
“This year was our 14th year, and so hopefully we can make next year even bigger for 15 and do something special to mark the anniversary.”
