9am: Australia Day citizenship ceremony in the Civic Centre forecourt.

9am – 2pm: Arts, crafts, local produce, children's activities, entertainment, food and drink and much more all on the shores of beautiful Lake Albert.

12pm: Australia Day races at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club. Seven races, with a DJ playing throughout the afternoon.

11am to 1pm: Bring the whole family to the Barellan Swimming Pool this Australia Day where there will be damper-making, bush poetry and a barbecue lunch.

4pm: Activities and entertainment at the Barmedman Mineral Pool. Address from Australia Day ambassador Hannah Campbell-Pegg. Damper competition (entries to the pool by 3pm), biggest splash competition, inflatable races, games, music, sausage sizzle and more.

8am: Australia Day celebrations are hosted by the Rotary Club of Batlow and held at Memorial Park (behind the bowling club) with a hearty Australian breakfast.

2pm – 6pm: Australia Day pool party at the community pool. Attendees enjoy free entry, barbecue and fun competitions.

11am – 2pm: Presentation of 2017 Australia Day awards at Hillston Community Hall. Light lunch and thong throwing competition (BYO thongs). Australia Day ambassador is Jeff ‘Sayley’ Sayle, a former Rugby League star who played one Test for Australia, one game for NSW and 379 matches for Randwick.

8am – 8.50am: Breakfast in John McInnes Square cooked by the Coly Lions Club. Cost $3 per head (pre-schoolers free). Music from Swag ‘n Billy.

9am: Official program begins. National anthem/flag-raising ceremony. Mayor’s introduction and ambassador’s speech. Presentation of prizes and awards, concluding with the cutting of the Australia Day cake.

8am: Free community barbecue breakfast at Lions Park, Ardlethan.

10am – 12pm: Official Australia Day ceremony from 10am, with Australia Day ambassador Josephine Peter in attendance.

8am – 11:30am: Head to Jubilee Park for award presentations, live entertainment and fun for the entire family. In the afternoon, head to Cootamundra Pool to cool off at the Australia Day pool party.

11.45am: Arrival at CWA Park.

12pm: Official Australia Day ceremony begins with Welcome to Country before master of ceremonies Peter Van Hess hosts the presentation of awards. Australia Day ambassador Prue Watt, who won gold in swimming at the Paralympics, will give her address.

8am – 11.30am: Celebrate Australia Day with a community barbecue breakfast in the Ganmain Victory Gardens and a special guest speaker. BYO chair and cutlery. Hosted by Advance Ganmain Committee.

7am: Traditional Australia Day breakfast at Pioneer Park Museum.

9.30am: Australia Day Award and Citizenship ceremony at Griffith Regional Theatre.

12pm – 2pm: Flag-raising ceremony at Grong Grong Park followed by lunch at the sports club at 12.30pm. Lunch costs $5.

8am: Barbecue breakfast provided by the Gundagai Lions Club in Carberry Park.

8.55am: Call to order and national anthem. The mayor will deliver the mayoral welcome and prayer for Australia. Australia Day ambassador Valerie Parv will give her Australia Day address followed by the presentation of awards. BYO fold-up chairs and picnic blankets.

8am – 11am: Head to Newson Park for an Australia Day breakfast, live entertainment by local musicians and then the official Australia Day awards ceremony. This year’s ambassador is broadcaster and auctioneer Mark Warren, the son of Ray ‘Rabbits’ Warren.

8am: A flag-raising ceremony, celebration breakfast, Australia Day awards and a presentation by Australia Day ambassador Catriona Rowntree will be held at the Gaol Museum, Church Street.

8am: Breakfast at Jindera Recreation Reserve.

9am: Official ceremony commences. Shade provided, but please bring chair, rug, sunscreen, hat and insect repellent.

6.30am: The party kicks off bright and early with registrations for the Jail Break Fun Run taken at the jail. Download a copy of the form ahead here. The run follows a flat 3.2km course between the entry to the Junee Correctional Centre in Park Lane and the Junee Recreation and Aquatic Centre in Lorne Street, with prizes to be won supplied by GEO Group.

7am-12pm: The Junee Lions Club are providing a lamington tea and coffee breakfast at the Rec Centre for the runners. But if you’re more of a savory tooth, a fundraising barbecue run by the Junee Fire Brigade will have all your sausage sanga needs sorted with proceeds going to Can Assist.

9.30am: The day’s ceremonies will be held at the Rec Centre from 9.30am, with awards for citizen of the year, young citizen of the year, volunteer team and junior sportsperson to be honoured before a cheering crowd of their family and friends.

12pm – 2pm: Slip through the midday sun with the slide open and rides free between 12 and 2pm.

1.30pm until late: For those who prefer their Australia Day celebrations served with a cold VB, Tash Higginson will play Friday afternoon from 1.30pm at the Junee Hotel. And if you like your party loud and late, on the other side of the tracks at The Commercial have DJ MAYN playing from 8pm.

7.30am: Breakfast in Mountford Park serviced by the local service clubs, as well as live music.

9.15am: Official presentation of the Australia Day awards and citizenship ceremony.

All day: Cool off with a pool party at the Leeton Swimming Club. Entry is free.

4pm – 8pm: A DJ will perform and the Lions train and merry-go-round will be in action.

6.30pm: Mirrool community barbecue at Sunshine Park. Lots of entertainment. All welcome.

8am: The Narrandera Lions Club will cook an ‘Aussie breakfast’ in Marie Bashir Park followed by the Australia Day ceremony with ambassador Dr Stepan Kerkyasharian AO.

4pm: Residents and visitors are invited to Miles Franklin Park for activities hosted by the Tumut Region Australia Day Working Group and the Talbingo Australia Day Committee..

5pm: Barbecue dinner.

6pm: Official Australia Day proceedings commence.

8am: Enjoy a community breakfast to celebrate Australia Day at Davey Park, Ariah Park.

8am – 10.30am: Celebrations will include a barbecue breakfast, live entertainment and presentation of awards at the Stockwell Gardens.

9.30am: Community brunch at the Ungarie Memorial Hall.

7am – 9am: Breakfast in Barnado Park including Lions Club breakfast, Australia Day ambassador address from Hannah Campbell-Pegg, presentation of Bland Shire Australia Day awards and live performances from the town band and town choir.

8am – 11am: Head to Carrington Park for a breakfast barbecue, live entertainment and the official Australia Day ceremony. There will also be a lolly scramble for the children.

9am: Celebrate Australia Day at Wombat with a tractor pull, antique engine and car display, street stalls at the oval and a street parade from 12pm.
