There weren’t enough women to form a comp in 2017, but the association hope to grow the momentum.
“We’re trying this year to get a women’s competition going as well, we want to get them involved,” Steven Gentle, Junee Basketball Association president said.
The junior Aussie Hoops program will run again, with the first training day set for Monday February 12, from 5.30pm-6.30pm.
Nomination forms are currently available from the Recreation and Aquatic Centre.

A referee clinic is also coming to Junee on Thursday, Feb 1 from 6pm-9pm also at the Rec Centre.
Four referees from Junee have already signed up with many travelling to town to train.
Small town gala days once every three months are on the cards with interest from Temora and Tumut.
“One of the biggest things that worked for us on the grand final was having the kids play and then stay and watch the mens… we want to keep that going,” Gentle said.
