Approximately 70 people including volunteers sat down together on Christmas Day at St Luke’s Anglican Church Hall.
“It just blew my mind, it was phenomenal,” organiser John Foord said.
“The whole Junee community and businesses houses got behind it and donated everything, from the food to the wrapping paper.
“The organisation ran so smoothly and there was a real variety of people come to celebrate together.”
Everyone present received their own gift from Santa, free food and company.
The charity event was organised in record time, and hasn’t been held for a number of years.
Tuesday’s Open Kitchen at St Luke’s Hall will start up again on January 30 with a team of volunteers setting the table for those in need of a little financial relief or simply friendship.
