Illabo trainer Peter Sims will launch a three-pronged attack on the Leo Hartley Memorial (525m) at Wagga on Friday night.
Sims has never had a dog in the prestigious Wagga feature before but will be represented by three dogs in this year’s edition.
Last-start Wentworth Park winner Pride Of Charlie will be joined by Sherbini and Zudactyl Monelli in the race.
Sims had no hesitation in declaring the best of his three.
“Pride Of Charlie, he’s the one definitely,” Sims said.
“If he gets a clear run, he’s run a 30.10 (seconds) there before. He goes nice.”
Pride Of Charlie has drawn box four and that is Sims’ biggest fear.
“If he had drawn the rails, he would have been a real nice bet,” he said.
“Being drawn there is always harder.
“If he’s first past the winning post the first time, they will have some trouble catching him.”
Sims will be hoping to continue his good form after winning at Wentworth Park on Wednesday night with Nations.
Nations has now won 12 of his 15 career starts.
