Tracy Delaney has over a decade of experience leading the region’s small schools. She’s spent the past year and a half as relieving principal at Matong and the 10 years prior as assistant principal at Coolamon Central School.
Ms Delaney said she’s excited to get to know Junee’s young citizens.
“I’m really looking forward to leading the school and building those relationships with the community,” she said.
“We’re going into a new planning cycle for the next three years, it’s a great time to come in and set some strategic directions.”
JPS held its presentation night on Monday.
“It was wonderful, the children who received awards were all very proud of themselves,” relieving principal Alex Sheridan said.
Ms Sheridan said the school has seen great growth in its literacy and numeracy data this year, which is collected every five weeks.
