Not even a looming storm could dampen the infectious Christmas cheer on Saturday as thousands packed out Broadway for Junee Business and Trades’ hallmark annual event.
“We were dodging the weather but the rest went really really well,” president of JBT Tony Butt said.
“The streets were so full you were struggling to walk around.”
Over 80 stalls were well-attended by locals and travellers drawn to Junee exactly a month out of Christmas on Saturday.
Jan Eisenhauer took out first prize in the raffle and the crowds were kept moving by a huge offering of entertainment across stages in the Athenium and beyond.
Despite some ominous looking weather right before the tree was due to be lit, the crowds waited it out and were rewarded with a spectacular glittering display.
