Goulburn highway patrol officers stopped a grey Holden ute towing a trailer on the Hume Highway around 7.40pm on Saturday.
The northbound vehicle was being driven by a 37-year-old Coolamon man, with a 32-year-old woman from The Rock in the passenger street.
The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and its occupants, allegedly uncovering a stash of cash in a door panel.
A search of the passenger revealed 2.9 grams of methamphetamine, police said.
It has been seized by police for further investigation.
She is now facing criminal charges, while the man behind the wheel was issued an infringement notice for towing a vehicle with an unsecured load.
The woman will face Goulburn Local Court on November 15 to answer charges of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing equipment for the administration of a prohibited drug.
