Police were out conducting drug testing at the festival when they returned to the car to find it had been sprayed with gold and black paint and had some letters scrawled on the vehicle’s side panels.
It was a disappointing end to the festival which saw around 40 drug arrests and the seizure of more than 70 drug stashes from participants.
The six-day festival wrapped up yesterday with police conducting breath and drug testing as festival-goers left the Burning Seed venue to make their way home.
Police concerns were raised when some “Burners” were planning to drive after admitting they had taken drugs beforehand.
Under the theme “Deep Space” the festival attracted 4,000 people from around the world to the Matong State Forest, in what was otherwise a peaceful event.
Police resources were diverted to the event, with up to 12 police at a time on rotating shifts.
Organisers have indicated to police that they are looking forward to hosting another Burning Seed festival next year.
