Rhythm n Rail Festival hunt for charity partner | Photos

Planning for next year’s Rhythm n Rail Festival is already underway, with the new committee working to make the 10th anniversary a knock-out event.

As part of the festival this year, builders from Hotondo Homes created and auctioned off a railway-workers cubby house, raising $2000 for the Make a Wish Foundation.

The committee are hoping to continue the charitable trend, and are putting the call out for a good local cause to get in touch.

“We’re looking for a charity to take ownership it, we’ll provide the publicity and the audience, provide something and use the event to make a difference,” committee president Jeanne Kennedy said.

“The charity themselves don’t have to do a lot of work, just give us something to auction at the end of the parade and get on board.”

The committee are also busily trying to secure a big name to perform on Saturday night.

This month’s AGM will be held on Tuesday, October 10 at the Junee Ex Services Club from 6-8pm with all invited to attend.
