It’s School Administrative Support Staff Recognition Week, a nod to the ladies in the office, behind the scenes assistants, support officers and substitutes who make the gritty stuff of learning run as smoothly as possible.
Ms Leonie Cooper oversees the SASS team at JHS and has no shortage of passion for the role of education in shaping lives and the Junee community.
“I just love the school and wish everyone could see the great things we do and the wonderful students doing their best,” Ms Cooper said.
JHS Principal Scott Frazier said acknowledging the work of SASS staff as a community is vital.
“I thank them for their effort and dedication to each day contributing to the collegiality of staff, encouragement of students and assistance in administration,” he said.
Some at JHS, such as Ms Marg Belling, have been with the school for more than 40 years.
“To all of our support and administrative staff, I appreciate them for the role they contribute in our great school,” Mr Frazier said.
“Thank you also to the community for supporting them and recognising their efforts in assisting the children of Junee.”
