Jaguars were bumped from third spot to fourth following their 3-2 loss to second-placed South Wagga on Sunday.
They now sit just two points clear of fifth-placed Henwood Park and are at risk of falling out of the hotly contested finals race altogether.
Junee manufactured plenty of chances on the weekend, but were outclassed by South Wagga when it came to finishing.
Warriors’ Anne Noonan finished with a brace, while Morgan Purdie also found the back of the net.
Junee’s Abbey Foley did well to equalise in the second-half after her side found themselves in an early 1-0 hole, while Kara Hancock was responsible for the visitor’s second goal.
But Jaguars were not up to the task of holding South Wagga at bay, weakened by the absence of key defender Steph Puttock.
Junee coach Adrian Weir insisted the scoreboard was not an accurate representation of the game.
“We were a much better side on the day,” he said.
“We played well but just couldn’t finish.
“There were a lot of corners and scrappy balls that we just needed to get a touch on to score.”
Junee hosts Leeton at Burns Park on Sunday, while South Wagga takes on fifth-placed Henwood Park.
