Junee will face off against Family Hotel at Gundagai’s Stan Crowe Oval on Saturday.
The two sides will battle it out for the Hogan Cup, which is contested by the two highest ranked Elders Cup sides which originated from the former Gundagai league.
Stallions captain Trent Charlton said his side was determined to leave the postseason clash victorious after having their finals campaign ended by mother nature.
“We’re going to send the best side we possible can,” he said.
“We’re still pissed off about how the season ended.”
“We’ll play our best but it will also be about having some fun,” he said.
Charlton said he did not realise his side would have to play for the Hogan Cup title, assuming it would be handed to the highest ranked side at the end of Elders Cup play.
“There was nothing in the original draw about this game being played,” he said.
