Seeking former students
My name is Greg Sutton and I am part of a reunion committee that are looking for former students and teachers of Lithgow High School as we are holding a Year 10 1977 40 year reunion this coming November. We are looking for those that were in year 7 in 1974, year 8 in 1975, year 9 in 1976 and year 10 in 1977 as there were some students/teachers who either did all those years and some that partially attended through those years. We have also included year 11 in 1978 and year 12 in 1979 as these students/teachers do not have reunions. Following are names we have not found over the years and we would like to touch base with. The women’s names will be in their maiden name and apologies in advance if the spelling is incorrect and if some have passed away.
Trevor Berriman, Billy Cooper, Brian Dickens, Nardine Evans, Robert Fields, Tony Grahame, Allina Guest, Richard (Ricky) Johnstone, Kerrie Kearins, Grahame Mostyn, Donald Palmer, Andrew Rutherford, Menaz Salim, Stuart Woods.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to collect all names over this time so we are asking readers to assist if they can. Anyone that has attended reunions in 2007 and 2012 and have moved do you mind assisting with an update of your address?
There will be pre-drinks at a local hotel to be determined at 7pm Friday, November 17. There will be a tour of Lithgow High School on November 18. The official function will be held November 18 at Black Gold Motel Wallerawang NSW 2845 at a cost of $50 a head.

Better use of resources
I cannot understand how the State Government can spend approximately $40 million and knock down a perfectly sound stadium and then rebuild the stadium.
Why doesn’t the Government utilise the $40 million to build low cost housing?
If the moneys were used to erect a dwelling with the Government's contribution being $250,000.00 the benefits could be as follows:-
Individual houses could be built – 160 houses at $250,000 per house = $40 million.
The building contracts could be issued to local small businesses. Why not give regional tradesmen and suppliers the opportunity to receive of the funds from sales of Government assets?
A key question is how many people from west of the Dividing Range or those who are average income earners regularly attend the stadiums taking into account entrance fees?
