Natalia Shimpf, 12, has been selected to take part in the festival's mass choir after landing a spot in the Riverina Central Choir.
Natalia was required to pass an intensive audition process which involved each prospective choir member being put under the microscope by choir directors.
Riverina Central Choir director Judy Gollasch said Natalia earned her way into the choir by using more than just her singing skills.
“She has been selected because of her vocal ability, but we also make our selections based participation in choir, attentiveness to the conductor, ability to follow the conductor and general musical ability,” Mrs Gollasch said.
Junee North Public School principal Kay Thurston said the school is bursting with pride over Natalia’s selection.
“We are very proud of Natalia and I know that she will remember this amazing experience forever,” Mrs Thurston said.
The mass choir will feature students aged between 10 and 12 from all over the state.
Natalia diligently practices her singing and travels to Wagga for weekly rehearsals.
