The aged care centre currently leases its land from the state government but hopes to secure the land by 2019.
Cooinda Court manager Belinda Colgan was thrilled to receive the donation, which originated from the Diesel’s 30 year reunion.
“The local support is overwhelming at times,” Mrs Colgan said.
“This is just another example of the community’s generosity.”
The move comes after the facility secured fire sprinklers following a two-year fundraising appeal.
Cooinda Court committee chairwoman Pam Halliburton said community generosity had made the facility’s recent advancements possible.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the Junee Diesels donation and all the support from the Junee Shire which has contributed so generously to the fundraising appeal for the sprinklers.”
Can Assist also received a $500 donation from the Diesels.
