But for one Junee resident, the coffee was not just about making it to 5pm, but providing a helping hand.
Over the past two years, Junee’s Fiona Cairns has raised $50 for the Eurongilly Public School P&C just by having a hot cup of coffee.
Well, a skinny cappuccino to be precise.
Each time Mrs Cairns mentioned Eurongilly Public to the staff at the Leprechaun’s Bean in Wagga, they donated 50 cents.
It was not just Mrs Cairns helping out, she roped a few Wagga folks into helping out.
It’s taken roughly 100 cups, or one cup each week over two years to reach that $50 and Mrs Cairns could not be happier.
“I work just over the road, in the morning it was really easy to pop over,” she said.
“It will mean extra resources for the school and students, it’s been a really easy and simple way to help out and I have coffee anyway.
“I thought I might as well buy the coffee from a business that supports my kid’s school.”
