Despite playing well, the Junee team was a little unlucky but were doing things the hard way, which put pressure on the players.
Tolland scored the first goal at the 17 minute mark after a mix up in the six yard box that saw the ball rebound off a Junee defender into a Tolland player then into the net.
Three minutes later, after some sustained pressure by the Tolland attack, a screamer beat Junee’s goalkeeper Billie Deacon to take the score to 2-0.
Junee continued to pressure the defence and were on the end of some very direct attacking play. Some excellent through balls were served up but Junee’s attack had little success with a number of good chances.
Keeping the Tolland defence under pressure, Keely Hancock managed to hit a nice shot that beat the Tolland keeper and take the score to 1-2 where it stayed up till half-time.
The second half started very poorly for Junee with Tolland playing some simple 1-2 passing that saw a third goal hit the back of the net.
The Junee squad then regained their composure and kept taking the game to Tolland for the next 44 minutes with numerous chances created, but unfortunately for Junee, none were converted.
Equally good defence saw Tollands efforts turned back and the final score of 3-1 to Tolland resulted.
Cannot fault the Junee girls, some players had to double up on the day but the team as a whole, tried their hardest.
Best for Junee was Elisha Ward, Sara Smart, Suz Waia and Billie Deacon.
Junee travels to Wagga Showgrounds next week and meets South Wagga.
