Staff and students have returned to a Wagga school after a bomb threat forced an evacuation this morning.
At about 11.30am, staff at Wagga’s Sacred Heart Primary School received an anonymous phone call claiming a bomb had been planted on the school grounds.
The school and church were immediately evacuated while police swept the area.
Staff and students returned to the school at about 12.15pm.
Junee High School was also subjected to a bomb threat this morning but students were at a swimming carnival.
A school in Bathurst also reportedly received a similar threat today.
It comes amid a series of bomb threats targeting schools across the nation in recent weeks.
