The group pushing for a fire sprinkler retrofit have soared past $130,000 however, they’re still in need of funds to complete the project.
The Old Junee Hall held a concert and have donated $1000 to the Cooinda Court.
“I want to thank the artists who willing volunteered their time to make our concert such an enjoyable and successful day,” Old Junee Hall secretary Bev Crowe said.
“Thanks also to the Junee Rural Fire brigade who did a great job on the sausage sizzle.
“To everybody who attended, many thanks,” Mrs Crowe said.
Cooinda Court committee member Pam Halliburton thanked the committee for their efforts.
“We’re very happy to receive the money, we understood it was a sensational function,” Mrs Halliburton said.
“We really appreciate the work everyone else is doing in committees to help us.”
“Every little bit helps.”
She said Cooinda Court had $135,000 in donations.
“Our total will keep increasing with all these organisations being supportive of us,” Mrs Halliburton said.
