The fire which has destroyed 19 hectares of a canola crop north of Junee, has been brought under control.
Twenty fire trucks were needed at the farm which is on the Old Sydney Road.
Yesterday, the RFS issued a total fire ban because of high temperatures and strong winds.
A change from the south-west is due later this afternoon.
The RFS has asked people avoid using equipment which could spark a fire and not to drive in long grass.
Two header fires and a tractor fire have already been reported in NSW today.
