In more recent years however, they've been a target for vandals, however their fortune is set to change with the property to go under the hammer.
An auction is planned to sell the four homes as a single property or individually on November 1.
A former member of Junee's Tidy Towns committee, Brian Higginson was excited to hear the news of the auction.
"In its current state it's done no favours for Lisgar Street's presentation ... it's attracted vandals who tried to burn it down," he said.
"I'd be glad to see a committed owner bring the building back to its former glory.
"Hopefully the old lady will be done up."
