To clarify: Delta Goodrem and Darren McMullen's short-lived romance is reportedly over.

The Aussie singer and Scottish host were said to have fallen for one another in the early stages of filming The Voice together and were spotted looking lovestruck at a restaurant in Sydney in March.

Sources close to the reality TV stars have "suggested" to the Daily Telegraph that the couple-that-was-never-a-couple has parted ways.

The Herald reported that Goodrem's image-conscious management wanted to keep the union secret so as to avoid any chance of the singer's reputation being affected.

They looked close at the Lady Gaga concert in June, shortly before a music industry source told News Limited that the couple are "really into each other and are a pretty good match." They were then photographed enjoying a lunch together in LA in July.

McMullen, 30, is a self-confessed ladies' man, while Goodrem, 27, has created her fair share of relationship tittle-tattle having once being engaged to Brian McFadden and then dating younger star Nick Jonas until February.

With the news of the split, her agents may now be breathing a sigh of relief. Or not, as the case may be, given the are-they-aren't-they rumours surrounding the pair.
