Staged in Cowra, the winner of the district level competition will progress to Sydney for the state final.
It will be the second time Ebony has represented the youth of Junee at the district level after winning the competition in 2013.
The quest is designed to encourage students to develop leadership skills and qualities by taking active and constructive role in the community.
Students need high levels of academic, leadership, sporting, public speaking and citizenship achievements to be selected as the person to represent Australia and their community on the world stage.
Earlier in February Junee had three candidates from Junee High School for Youth of the Year - Ebony, Billie-Rose Deacon and Hayley Hocking.
"All three are fine role models and displayed the qualities necessary to progress, however, there can only be one representative and this year the judges nominated Bonny as the Junee Lions overall champion," Lions member Neil Sheedy said.
Billie-Rose took out the public speaking award.
Ebony went on to contest the zone quest in Wagga on March 9 where the judges nominated her as both the overall and public speaking winner.
Lions' Youth of the Year zone chairman Gordon Aylward summed up Ebony's performance: "What an impressive young lady, she handled the two impromptu questions brilliantly, was clear and concise in her reasoning and the structure of her response."
"Her prepared speech was polished and delivered with confidence," Mr Aylward said.
Junee Lions' president Knud Hansen, Neil Druce, Terry Vercoe and the staff and students from Junee High, all wish Ebony the best as she powers her way towards the next stage of the quest. Ebony's goal is to at the very least go one level better than she did last year when she was eliminated at the state level by the eventual winner of the Youth of the Year Quest.
