Job Description

The main goal of the Data Products team is to drive the evolution of Nine as a data-led media company. Our job is to support and advise our Sales people on how they can use data products to help maximise advertising revenue across our digital assets. 

As a Data Product Sales Lead you will partner with our Sales team as the Subject Matter Expert for all things data at Nine. You will join client meetings to articulate our data proposition in a way that is easy to understand and meaningful to advertisers. You will develop solutions using our data products in order to optimise our clients’ advertising spend. 

Day to day you will:

  • Leverage and develop a deep understanding of the Nine’s Data Products across Insights, Activation and Measurement to act as a subject matter expert to our Melbourne sales team
  • Present and articulate our extensive data products to direct advertisers and agency partners
  • Develop a deep understanding of the ad-tech and mar-tech vendors in the Australian market to provide guidance to Nine in activating advertiser audiences across Nine digital properties
  • Leverage our Nine insights tool to communicate pre + post campaign insights reports broadly across our wider sales team and agency/clients
  • Update and manage our segment catalogue across our 1st Party data and 3rd Party data
  • Work within the Adobe Audience Manager DMP platform to build audiences for advertisers. This includes but not limited to, lookalike audience models, building of audiences using third party data sets, and advertiser 1st Party data
  • Demonstrate and constantly build on market intelligence across our competitive set
  • Assist the team in ad-hoc projects to on-board new data partners and other relevant platforms
  • Develop meaningful relationships across the wider Nine business to champion our Data Products offering.

We are on the lookout for a self-starter who can work in an ambiguous, fast-paced media environment. You will have the right mix of technical capability and communication skills needed to articulate complex information. You will have the skill, knowledge and relationship building skills to quickly become a trusted advisor to our sales people and clients, so that they have complete confidence in you, and our data. 

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

  • 5 - 7 year’s data experience within a data provider environment, agency, or programmatic trading desk environment
  • University degree
  • Confident self-starter who can work in an ambiguous fast paced environment
  • Great presenting skills including powerpoint skills
  • Passion for the data and digital industry
  • Depth of understanding of the Australian data and digital landscape
