The revived club has 6 mens teams competing and around 50 kids attending Aussie Hoops training each week.
“We don’t have enough kids to play our own competition so we’re looking at entering teams in the Wagga Junior Comp next year and forming a representative side to play other towns at gala days," Steven Gentle said.
Coolamon and Temora have both expressed interest.
Mr Gentle said there’s a view to playing some senior games at one or more of the flagged gala days.
“When the kids have their gala day we’ll look at having a men’s or women’s game so the kids have something to watch and aspire to,” he said.
Current front-runner for the mascot and name is the Junee Juggernauts, riffing off an evil Marvel Comics character.
Other suggestions have been the Spartans, Trojans, Bulls, and the Locomotives.
The club are calling for people to make suggestions on their Facebook page.
There are five games left in the men’s competition this season, with the Oldermen topping the ladder with four wins and one loss putting them at 16 points.
