Junee mayor Neil Smith, Wagga mayor Greg Conkey, Jann White Wagga RAF commanding officer, Coolamon councillor Dave McCann and a number of senior officers from the Wagga LAC will be in attendance.
The community forum was organised by the Junee RSL subbranch. Organiser Ray Seymour encourages residents to get out and have their voice heard.
“It’s a great opportunity to sit there, actually talk to the deputy commissioner and senior members of the force to ask questions,” he said.
“Instead of sitting at home whinging and moaning come along and hear it from the man himself.”
Mr Seymour said the agenda will be set by Commissioner Worboys with a dedicated time for questions after his address.
“Stock theft is rife, domestic violence is a big problem, we’ll see what he sets down as his points of argument and will be going along that line,” he said.
The forum will take place at the Junee Ex Services Club auditorium on Wednesday, November 1 from 7-9pm with registration encouraged.
Currently, around 100 people from Junee and the surrounding shires have expressed interest.
Details on the re-engineering of the force have been light since major changes were announced late last year. Mr Worboys was appointed in the new role of deputy commissioner for NSW field operations in May, 2017 with NSW Police touting a stronger focus on country policing.
