The formerly disqualified driver arrested failed a random breath test when he was stopped by police around 6.40pm on Friday.
The 38-year-old man was then taken to the local police station, where he allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of .192.
Wagga police’s Inspector Peter McLay said the man was charged with high-range drink driving and driving whilst disqualified.
A court date has not yet been set for the 38-year-old.
Meanwhile, the “if I can’t see you, you can’t see me” theory has proven unsuccessful for one Wagga man, arrested for drink driving early Saturday morning.
Inspector McLay said witnesses saw the 29-year-old leave the Victoria Hotel in a white four-wheel drive, with no lights on.
He said the driver allegedly “appeared as though he was trying to avoid detection”, before being pulled over on Fox Street at about 3am.
Following a random breath test, the Glenfield man was taken to Wagga Police Station, where he returned a blood-alcohol reading of .144.
The man was charged with mid-range drink and will face court on December 6.
