Secretary of the Illabo Show Society, Leanne Belling, said the day was very successful.
“Entries were down slightly in the crop produce section and the lambs, but otherwise entries have been pretty good,
“Frost has been as damaging as lack of rain so it has been tough on the farmers this year which is a bit sad, but anyway, we’ll all bounce back and be here next year.”
2017 hosted the 97th Illabo Show, but only due to the weather.
“It was supposed to be 97 last year but we had to cancel for the first time ever due to the rain, but look at this year and it’s been the opposite,” she said.
“Horses have been great. Dog show’s been great, and the yard dogs were going since 7 o’clock in the morning and they’d probably be finishing at 10 o’clock at night so it’s been really good,” Ms Belling said.
