The factory’s annual Superhero Day raises money for Muscular Dystrophy Australia.
The windy weather didn’t stop a stack of families, dressed as their favourite comic book and movie legends from banding together as an unbeatable charity squad.
“We want to raise awareness of a disease that effects so many families,” factory employee Rhiannon Druce said.
“It wasn’t great weather so it was slightly below the expected turnout, but regardless it was a fun day.”
The day raised $710 for the foundation by donating a percentage of freckle making and kids’ lunches sales.
Muscular dystrophy is a neuromuscular, genetic disorder which results in the progressive deterioration of muscle strength and function.
Life expectancy for the most common form, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, is usually only until early adulthood.
More than 20,000 people in Australia have some form of the disease.
It’s the third year the factory have run the event with Wagga musician Jarryn Phegan providing a musical backdrop to Saturday’s fun.
