Sequins, feathers, garters and frills sauntered onto the Athenium’s stage last weekend for the Charity Cabaret, all for a worthy cause.

Ticket sales met the studio’s goal of $1000, which will be donated to the Community Centre.
Studio principal Shannon Oke said it went off without a hitch.
“Most of the ladies had never danced before,” Ms Oke said.
“The crowd was really interactive and really got behind our raffle, a few audience members even dressed up.”
Twenty-four dancers (plus hard-to-miss deputy mayor Matt Austin in a scarlet number) demanded the stage throughout the evening.
The dancers’ sassy charm and confidence lit a flame among many in the local crowd.
“Myself and other cast members have been approached by a lot of guests hoping to get involved next year,” Ms Oke said.
There’s no rest for wicked as classes for next year’s show kick off again next week.
