WAGGA golfer Luke Chisholm has captured his second title in the space of a week with a win at the Junee Open on Sunday.

Just a week after winning the Temora Open, Chisholm made his way to the Junee Golf Club and won their feature event.
Chisholm fired a round of 72 to score a three-shot win over Gold Creek Golf Club’s Scott Harris.
A field of 66 players hit the fairways at Junee with players from as far as Western Australia, Gold Creek, Canberra and right across the Riverina.
Junee Golf Club captain Rex Parkes said it was a terrific day of golf.
“It was really heartening to set up a local Open tournament that it is supported by many of the clubs in the surrounding towns and a thank you must be afforded to all the members of visiting clubs,” Parkes said.
“Twenty-seven members of Junee Golf Club participated and a whopping 49 visiting members from other clubs entered the tournament. Players competing last Sunday were very happy with the lay out and the conditions and to top that off we had the best Winter day of the year.”
Parkes said it took a big effort from a number of people to make the event such a success.
“Junee is all volunteers, led by Kevin Jacobson producing a fine golf course for everyone to enjoy and Carmel Wright leading a wonderful band of helpers to provide a lovely lunch and a well organised Junee Open,” he said.
“A special thankyou to all that gave of their time to make this event successful.”
Wagga Country Club’s Elaine Zotti took out the ladies stableford from Junee’s Jane Longmore. Wagga Country Club’s Max Jennings won the junior title with a round of 80.
