“We’d like to thank all of the Junee community who called in to find out what was going on,” station manager Steve Briggs said.
“It was really something special.”
The transmitter which went down following a power outage in June was repaired using borrowed equipment.
A shiny, new model is being imported from Italy and is due to touch down in Junee in three weeks time.
“Hopefully we’ll still be transmitting in English,” Mr Briggs said.
Mr Briggs advised the frequency would be down for roughly an hour during the installation.
“It will only be for a short time, and we’ll let the listeners know on air,” he said.
For the time being those who have tuned in to Wagga’s frequency due to the outage can get sharper reception on the regular 97.9.
