Following the news a young family with three children had lost everything, the generous people of Junee pulled together to help pick up the pieces.
Katie Marie, who assisted collecting donations, said offers to help just “snowballed” after the sad news broke online last Tuesday, July 11.
“Seeing everyone come together has been spectacular and amazing in every sense of the word,” she said.
The bond for the family's new home has been anonymously paid for, as well as uniforms for the children who attend Junee Public School.
Everything from furniture to hygiene items have been donated to help them start again.
“It was the community and the thumbs up pages as well as the buy swap sell pages that had a huge hand in it. Without them none of it would be possible,” Ms Marie said.
A crowdfunding campaign has raised $2645 of its $5000 goal in just five days.
