Junee locals’ ears are yearning for community airwaves as record numbers call-in to 2AAA to report reception problems.
Steve Briggs, station manager, said they’ve received over 100 calls from Junee residents trying to tune in.
The 2AAA Junee transmitter has been down for 10 days following a power outage two weeks ago.
Transmission to frequency 97.9 is down “indefinitely”, but Mr Briggs said extending the aerial on older devices may improve reception.
Junee residents are advised they can tune in to 2AAA on 107.1, or stream online at 2AAA.net.
