A new president was ‘loch-ed’ in at Rotary 9700’s annual changeover lunch on Sunday, July 9.

The fog and brisk air leaned itself to the Scottish-themed event, a nod to the heritage on incoming president Graham Paton.

Club secretary Christopher Paton said the new president brings a wealth of experience in markets to the role.

Trish Davies received the Paul Harris Fellow Award for her work with children in New Guinea and local volunteering.  Amy Murphy and Robbie Duncan received vocational excellence awards, with Ian Manwaring to receive a community service award at a later date due to absence.

“The Rotary Club of Junee has donated more than $12,000 between local, national and international projects, which perfectly captures the global motto of the organisation, ‘Rotary serving humanity’,” MP Michael McCormack said.
