Brooke Harpley, Madison Harpley and Jacinta Cooper all played consistently in shooting, missing few goals.
Jess Barclay, Josie Drum and Molly Hodgson played decisively, letting few balls slip down the centre court with Lily Hodgson providing strong assistance to the attackers in WD.
Sarah Stevens and Elise Drum worked well together in defence of the circle, helping secure the win. Although momentum was lost in the last quarter, the team defeated Kooringal 50-36.

UNDER 14s Gems played a hard game against Nixons, but unfortunately couldn’t come away with a win. The girls played a strong and tight first half but lost momentum and lost 23-34.
Makeeta Jenkins played an awesome game in defence, gaining many rebounds whilst Claire Herbert also assisted with her height in the circle. Throughout the centre court, Lara Drum, Matilda McDevitt, Rory Rowett, Mikayla Parkhurst and Mia Phillips all pushed with stronger drives. Trinity Johns and Ella Fitzgerald displayed excellent shooting and movement.

JUNEE GEO Sapphires (under 10s) come up against the Nixon Lightning. In round one, Lightning defeated Sapphires 12 to 5. This week however, the Sapphires showed how much they had improved only going down by two, 7 to 5.
With two players down, we had to call on our under 8s for support and playing well above her age, Sophie Baldock stepped in and earned herself the Junee Licorice Factory Player Of The Week. Sophie positioned herself perfectly to not only help us keep the ball out of the circle but allowed us to get it down the other end!
Kara and Jocie lead the way in defence again, intercepting and rebounding every loose ball.
Sophia impressed as always, moving the ball from one end of the court to the other. Dakota stepped into centre in the fourth and showed confidence when given some space.
Our attack was lead impressively again by Tarah in GA. First out for the centre pass, Tarah also touched the ball multiple times again to allow us to get the ball to the circle. Supported by Jorja, Dakota and Jocie, the girls proved the skills they are learning to get themselves on the score board. When not in GS, Jorja worked extremely hard at WA.
