The dominant Sharks are coming off an easy 3-0 victory over an undermanned South Wagga side, while Jaguars are backing up from 4-2 loss to Tolland.
Even an early 35 metre screamer from coach Lincoln Weir couldn’t inspire the local side to victory.
But it did prompt an overwhelming dose of déjà vu for Tolland’s defenders, who watched South Wagga’s Luke Nichols score from just inside half-way when the two sides clashed in the previous round.
Tolland swiftly fought back.
Wolves speedster Brett Wendt was quick to equalise, while Jaguars debutant Luke Roberts was handed an early red card for inappropriate language.
But that didn’t stop Junee from reclaiming the lead in the second half, Lochie Phillipse slotting one after surviving a series of tackles.
Tolland co-coach Kyle Harrison then nailed an equaliser with scores locked at 2-2, before Jason Cuttle and Colin Cummins inflicted a finishing pair of goals within the final 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, Junee’s first grade women are gearing up to face Young at Gus Smith Oval on Sunday.
Jaguars are coming off a 10-0 thrashing of cellar-dwelling Leeton.
Marissa Ward led the scoring rampage with four goals, while Kayla Wright snagged three.
Morgan Goode scored a brace and Abbey Foley scored one.
