Junee trainer Bruce Harpley is hoping Friday is the night Samara Crocker sheds her bridesmaid tag.
The filly has only missed the top four once in her seven starts, but is yet to taste success.
She’s been runner up on four of those occasions, including when beaten a head by Molly Kelly.
However she gets another chance after drawing barrier one at Young.
Harpley is hopeful better work during the week will lead to better results.
“She is working better than she ever has,” Harpley said.
“I think she is getting better, we’ve worked a couple of things out with her, so I think she can (win).”
With Harpley at Shepparton with Rubies For Tash, Jordan Seary takes the drive.
