THE local knowledge within the Bill Arnold Hotondo Homes team was expanded late last year with the appointment of Robert Nascimben as sales consultant.
Having worked in the building retail sector for 18 years, Robert started in the role in October.
As sales consultant he looks after sales and inquiries for new Hotondo homes in the Griffith Leeton and Narrandera region, and all the way out to Hay, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo.
“I have worked in the building industry for 18 years, selling building materials to builders and clients,” Robert said.
“It was about knowing what customers needed and showing them new products, showing the benefits and what they can produce.
”That’s what we try and do (at Hotondo). We try and show how cost effective and energy efficient they are.”
Robert is the first point of contact for anyone wanting to use Bill Arnold Hotondo Homes to create their new home.
He works out of the new display home in Clifton Boulevard, as well as the Leeton office one day a week.

He said being a born and bred local means he knows a lot about the region and its people.
“Knowing what locals want is an advantage,” Robert said.
“I’m very approachable. I’m pretty much a people person, that’s probably one of my best assets.
“I am able to communicate with all people and understand what they are wanting.
“You’ve got to adapt to what the client wants. I have a good rapport and am able to listen to what their needs are.”
In the six months he has been with Hotondo Homes, he has noticed a distinct trend in what people are looking for in their new home.
“People are pretty much looking for a lifestyle house with living room, theatre room and alfresco,” Robert said.
“The majority of customers ask what’s available in that range. It used to just be a four-bedroom house, now it’s four bedrooms, plus study, theatre room.
“A lot of people are looking at the alfresco area because you can spend a lot of time out there in our climate.”
