Young and old braved the harsh conditions and marched shoulder-to-shoulder from Memorial Park to Railway Square this morning, before arriving at the Cenotaph on Broadway for a mid-morning service.
Junee RSL sub-branch president John Robertson spoke of the importance of remembering those who had served their country, while commending the Junee community for turning out in droves.
The day featured a strong youth presence, with the laying of the wreaths facilitated by Junee High School captains Jacky Zhao and Hayley Hackett, while talented young singer Caitlyn Davis performed the national anthem.
Earlier in the day, an estimated 300 residents attended the dawn service at the Cenotaph on Broadway, with the dawn service at Bethungra Memorial Park also attracting a strong turnout.
