Mr Wishart has since passed his lifelong passion onto his young children, with whom he will display a remarkable lego city during lego-themed event Bricktastic at Junee’s Athenium Theatre on May 5 and 6.
The replica city, which has taken more than six months to construct, will be one of many displays from around the region.
The event will also encourage kids to let their imagination run wild with an ‘activity zone’ and ‘creative brick building area’.
Committee member Emma Chisholm said the day would be one-of-a-kind.
“It’s the first time we’ve had something like this Junee,” Mrs Chisholm said.
“It’s the only one we know of within a 200 kilometre radius, the next closest being in Canberra,” Mrs Chisholm said.
Bricktastic is the brainchild of St Joseph Public School’s fundraising committee, which has been working to raise funds for the school’s redevelopment.
