“Play the game” is the traditional school motto for Junee Public School (JPS).
With a rich history of sporting success, you could easily be convinced that the motto is all about sporting aspirations but you would be wrong.
Learning is the core business at JPS and our students are playing the game of learning and life, day in and day out.
The ultimate vision of JPS is to deliver high quality educational opportunities that support the needs of all students in a dynamic environment that nurtures, guides, inspires and challenges students for future learning and success.

The formulation of the strong learning culture at JPS is based on:
- building and maintaining positive relationships between the teachers, students and home
- learning programs individualised to support every student’s learning needs
- highly trained staff who access ongoing professional learning, based on community needs
- engaging our community and utilising it as a resource to learn
- utilising resources and support services to set up success for every student
Every student at JPS has been told they’re a leader in some capacity, whether they wear a badge or not.
The official captains and vice captains are year six students who will will relish the opportunity to support their peers and be the best possible role models for JPS.
