After selling his artwork at markets around the country, Rob Rush returned to Junee to open Rustic Rose Gallery on Broadway earlier this year.
Mr Rush said the gallery was a treasure trove of quirky homemade pieces.
“Everything here was made by us,” he said.
“They’re all one-off pieces.
“Each one differs greatly and a lot of them are made from found and recycled materials.”
Standout items include a coffee table made with 100-year-old timber and floral wall hangings made from tin by Mr Rush’s partner Louise Clemson.
The gifted artist said his artistic passion grew from necessity 25 years ago.
“I got into it when I had no money and had to make my own furniture, just making things out of whatever I could find,” he said.
“After that I had solo art exhibition at the art gallery in Wagga and things grew from there.”
Mr Rush is a former two-time winner of the Wagga Rotary Art Competition.
