In an age where technology reigns and people sell their wares at the click of a button, it is nice to see that some things do not change.
The humble garage sale is amping up this weekend as Riverina households join the national Garage Sale Trail.
More than 400,000 Australians are expected to hit the streets to spend a collective $10 million at an estimated 15,000 garage sales.
The Junee Mens Shed will set up a stall as part of the national event to raise money and awareness for men’s health.
This is the second year that Judith Clark from Ashmont has participated.
“I had enough stuff around that hadn’t been used for a while,” she said.
“Most of the stuff sold that I wanted to get rid of.
“I’m starting to gather everything (for this weekend) already.”
Mrs Clark is selling furniture and electronics, such as printers and fax machines, for as cheap as $5 this weekend.
The Garage Sale Trail is in Wagga on October 22.
