The revived competition was locked in following the formation of the Loftus Junior Cricket Club at a meeting held by new club president Jack Charlton on October 13.
The club was created from scratch on the night with the establishment of a committee, following initial meetings which confirmed there was significant interest in the competition.
Teams will be selected at Loftus Oval on October 21 at 4.30pm, with play to begin on October 29.
“Mums and dads should come along and encourage their children in one of the greatest character builders, the game of cricket,” club president Mr Charlton said.
“They will be surprised how much fun they can have themselves.”
The competition is for boys and girls aged seven to 12, with Kanga cricket available for those aged five to seven.
