Foley was invited to the medal count along with Gundagai’s Brett Eccleston and Southcity’s Kyle McCarthy.
It would mean a great deal to win, it’d be an honour. But it’s going to be very close between the three of us.

When polling was last revealed with five rounds to go, Foley and Eccleston were locked on 13 votes apiece, two ahead of McCarthy and Bulls teammate Hayden Jeans.
“It would mean a great deal to win, it’d be an honour,” Foley said.
“But it’s going to be very close between the three of us.
“To be around the top of a long list of excellent players across the competition certainly feels good.”
“I’ll be flying the flag for the town.”
The fullback enjoyed an exceptional finish to the season, which will hold him in good stead when the big moment arrives.
It was a highly memorable finish to the minor round, as Foley burst through Young’s defence to score a match-winning try from 60 metres out with four minutes remaining.
With the count nearing, Foley said the month-long wait between the end of the season and the big night only added to the tension.
“It’s a bit of a nervous wait, but it’ll be a great day so I’m looking forward to getting over there,” he said.
“I’ve definitely wound down from the season, so it's a bit weird getting back into the footy zone for the presentation day all these weeks later.”
Foley has the chance to add to an already well-stocked trophy cabinet after taking out his second consecutive club best and fairest award at the Diesel’s presentation night in early September.
The star fullback also took out the Riverina, Country Bulls and Group Nine All-Stars representative honours on the night.
Foley said he has kept himself in shape in the early days of the off season in anticipation of another standout campaign next year. He has combined with Diesels teammate Connor McCauley to form a devastating duo for Jim’s Mowing Casuals.
Following the success of last year’s date and venue change, the event will again be held as part of Men of League raceday at Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
Balmain legend and media personality Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach will be the event’s special guest. Tickets are available at Don Tuckwell Audio for $40 and include entry to the races.
