Falun Gong supporters are completing a road trip between Sydney and Melbourne to raise awareness of the continued forced organ operations in Chinese prisons.
The Chinese government began persecution of the ancient belief in 1999, locking up those who practiced it in detention centres and subjecting them to torture.
Zhang Fengying was one innocent citizen who was illegally arrested and detained by Chinese government five times for practicing Falun Gong.
As a part of the government’s mass persecution, Mrs Fenying was subjected to force feeding torture as well as being left to freeze in sub-zero temperatures.
A campaign carried out by Mrs Fenying’s daughter, with the assistance of local media and the Australian government, brought her home in July 2013.
“However, I was still blacklisted by the forced labour camp and therefore I was deprived of the rights to apply for a passport,” she said.
“After countless phone calls to clarify the truth, I finally obtained my passport and managed to run away from China to Australia.
“Justice will triumph over wrong doing ultimately. The time has come.”
