Each student was required to qualify for the event by taking out first or second place in their events at the Cootamundra District Athletics Carnival last month.
Abbey Field, 11, stole the show after finishing first in the 100m and 200m sprints to qualify for the state titles in Sydney later this year.
The school’s relay team - consisting of Tootsie Lamb, Teneesha Brown, Maddison Corcoran and Abbey Field - also booked its ticket for Sydney after finishing second.
The talented team missed out on first place by a fraction of a second.
Elsewhere, Lachlan Field finished seventh overall for junior boys.
William Field finished sixth in 11 years high jump, while Tootsie Lamb and Kate Foley competed in the 800m.
Zach McDonald competed in the 100m sprint.
Junee Public School sports coordinator Maxine Finnie was thrilled to see the school’s students compete on a big stage.
“I’m very proud of our students and their achievements,” she said.
“It’s nice to see Junee Public school students being competitive against other schools in the Riverina.”
Abbey’s scintillating performance came on the back of breaking the 100m record twice for the 11 girls age group at the Cootamundra carnival last month.
She also broke the 200m record, took out first place in the long jump and topped the day off by being crowned the overall champion of the carnival.
